Job Summary:
To efficiently design electronic and print materials, exhibit elements and/or illustrations for a variety of advertising materials, displays, and other media, as appropriate for a spectrum of projects. The Graphic Designer designs layouts, transforming concepts, ideas, and strategies into artwork.
Job Outline:
1. Project Solutions:
- Proven capacity to conceptualize
- Able to plan and think through the mechanics of the project with support of peers
- Must be familiar with typography and design principles
2. Project Execution:
- Combine creativity with an awareness of the design elements that will be used to make the ad, and an understanding of what these can and cannot do
- Ability to take on the implementation of a template design
- Prepare designs in a way that allows them to be easily implemented by service providers.
Knowledge and skills:
• Advanced use of all design related programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, In design…
• Knowledge of principles and practices of graphic design.
• Ability to think creatively to create and produce graphic materials using a range of media, methods, techniques, and equipment.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of graphic layout and photographic requirements and procedures.
• Ability to analyze graphic and technical information and create interpretive illustrations.
• Knowledge of printing and/or reproduction processes and techniques.
• Ability to analyze and interpret user graphic requirements.
• Committed to the profession of visual communication.
• Solid footing on the line between creative expression and commercial reality.
• Knowledge of printing procedures and requirements.
• Ability to develop print and/or reproduction specifications.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Education:
- Graphic Design related qualification would be an advantage
- Certificates in: Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash or any similar programs
